Launched in 2019, the Registered Specialist Trade Contractors Scheme (the Scheme) was an industry-wide driven and recognised registration scheme in Hong Kong for specialist trade contractors established by the Construction Industry Council (CIC). It comprises Registered Specialist Trade Contractors of twenty-one designated trades and Registered Subcontractors of other common trades. The Scheme earmarks a significant milestone in subcontractor registration mechanism in Hong Kong.

Briefing on "S22 Site Lifting Operations"

specialist trade contractors registration arrangement under

the Registered Specialist Trade Contractors Scheme

The Construction Industry Council plans to upgrade the current "Site Lifting Operations" trade subcontractor companies for enhancing the safety and related standards in the first quarter of 2026. The briefing caters for companies of various scales and will introduce the enhanced registration requirements, required documents, transition perks and etc. with details as follow:

Date: 7 Jan 2026 (Wednesday)

Time: 6:30 - 7:30 PM (Entry starts 20 minutes earlier)

Language: Cantonese

Format: Online via Zoom or In-person

 Venue: Lecture Theatre, G/F, 44 Tai Yip Street, Kowloon Bay

Registration Methods:

• Online via Zoom

• In-person

Participants with an attendance rate of 80% or above will receive an electronic attendance certificate, which fulfills the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirement for registration renewal.
